Gulabi gang

The sun’s been rising over my window
Marching footsteps and those train wrecks

It’s anger and bitter that they shower
People walking with a purpose
Violence in the lord’s name

There stands a lady
Lovely and radiant, holding her pink love
She says the world will change
One tiny bit at a time

I walk along one way
Screaming what feel’s right
Voices surround me
As grey pours down

Sea swims in mellow colours
As anger melts down
The world far from perfect
It struggles, still insane

Through the rain, I run to the window
The sun’s almost gone

One last look at the mirror
I want to wash today’s world off my face
